Buying offplan in Spain: How do you get background information on a developer or check on your off plan purchase?
The internet is now making it possible for people who have bought off plan in Spain to get together and meet online and share their experiences as well as research the development they are interested in buying/or have bought in.
I received this enquiry which is typical of many of the types of questions that I get asked about how people research a developer or find out more information about the offplan property they bought.

I have paid deposit via Palmera Properties on property called El Rosario being developed by Grupo Mirador as part of golf development at Villanueva del Rosario, but find it difficult to get information about delays in progress from Palmera. I have been told that all licences are now in order, but still have no knowledge of whether building is yet able to commence. I appreciate any information you can give relating to development and developers.
